What are the State Transitional Bilingual Program and Title III?
Both programs are designed to help students develop competence in English, while also being challenged academically.
Why parents should be involved in the education of their children?
Family involvement is a key factor to improving a student’s academic performance. Research shows that when families are involved, students benefit from:
- Better grades
- Participation in more challenging classes
- Better attendance
- Better behavior
- Better social skills
How can parents be involved in the English language development program?
Raymond School District would like to inform and invite parents to actively participate in helping their children learn English, reach high standards in academic subjects, and achieve the same academic standards as all students. Please contact Raymond Elementary for further information on specific ways to become involved.
Raymond School District also seeks the views of parents in the evaluation of our English language development program and the Title III plan. Please contact Raymond Elementary for further information on specific ways to become involved in the planning and evaluation of both of these programs.
Raymond School District has an interpreter available at school meetings and all other functions. Please ask at the front office for an interpreter. If you have important school documents, an interpreter can also help you in the front office.
